| Swag valances are created when a long scarf of fabric is hung across the top of the window, and secured by decorative sconces or brackets, resulting in a graceful drape of fabric on the window. A swag is sometimes simply hung over a curtain rod. They can be used on many different types and sizes of windows: short or long, narrow or wide.
